Our network Recruiter is working with the leadership of this prestigious AM firm to locate the following candidate.

Promote to Partner Walking in the Door

The firm leadership is seeking an IP Tech Litigation Sr. Associate/Counsel who will have the potential to join the firm as a Partner walking in the door. There is no portable business requirement. This person will be replacing the IP Tech Litigation Partner, Co-Group Leader of the firm’s California office. This person will be based in one of the firm's CA offices but can live in any state the firm has offices. The firm is in every major city in the US and has over 25 US offices. The leadership is also opened to allowing this person to live anywhere in the country. 

No Portable Business Requirement 

This person will mentor under the outgoing Partner. This person will take over this Partners book of business. This is why there is no portable business requirement. If the candidate has business, the firm will be supportive to this person bringing their business in with them, but it is not a requirement for this position. 

Formalized Mentoring Program

The firm has a development program for Sr. Associates, Counsel, as well as Junior Partners that remain in place until the person moves into the Equity Partnership ranks. In addition, the firm is entrepreneurial run as it has an excellent well-staffed new business development group, marketing group, and an internal research think tank group.

The firm has experienced unprecedented growth and moved up the AM rankings year after year. The firm also has superior bench strength in IP at the Patent Agent and Scientific and Tech Advisor rankings. This enables the IP group to be extremely competitive in terms of new business development and having the ability to offer flexible billing arrangements so they can compete with any BigLaw firm.

Qualifications

The qualified attorney should have excellent IP litigation skills. This person must also have excellent academics, technical engineering degree, electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering a strong plus, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Compensation, Work-Life Balance

The firm’s IP group compensation plan ranks at the top of the AM. Base salaries are at the highest compensation level in the country. The firm has one of the best work-life balances among all of the AM and one of the lowest billing hour requirements.
