The firm is called upon by many Fortune companies to litigate landmark patent cases. These cases tend not to settle and find their way to trial and its not unlikely for the group to have several cases at trial.  In order to maintain its elite reputation and the high quality service they provide to their clients, the group leadership has devoted the past 4 plus years to building a strong bench of technical litigation associates that play a significate role at trial on complex patent cases.  This management approach to high stakes complex trial litigation has allowed their associates to gain significant trial experience while maintaining a good overall quality of life.   

The IP leadership is seeking to add to their bench strength by adding a Mid-level IP Litigation Life Sciences Associate to their National Patent Litigation Team.  This person will be involved in all aspect of Trial Litigation and focusing heavily on the technical aspects of the cases.  The position will interface extensively with all Trial Partners in addition to clients.  Some of the litigation duties will include assisting in complex depositions, locating expert witness, legal strategy and client counseling on all technical aspects of the case. 

The qualified Associate should hold a Life Sciences degree with an advance degree being preferred but not required.  Prior experience (3 to 6 years) in Big Law or an IP Boutique working in a litigation capacity is required.  The firm has an excellent partnership track which tends to promote Associates to Partner soon than later. Our Agent placed with this group and his Associate client made Partner within 24 months of joining the group.  This position will be based out the firm’s Washington DC office.  The position requires superior academics along with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
