Partner Sponsored IP Associate Role, Hatch-Waxman, FTO
Our Network Recruiter is working in conjunction with the Co-Chair of the Life Sciences Practice Group. This group has one of the fastest growing high-end Hatch-Waxman litigation groups in the biologics/biosimilars arena. This group is one of the few IP groups in the country who has handled a case through trial in the biologics area. The group is growing beyond expectations and is seeking an Associate who envisions themselves as Partner in Big Law. Consideration will be around the 6th to 8th year mark as the firm is a two-tier partnership structure.
The IP Leadership is committed to providing this Associate with the proper mentoring to achieve this goal. They will also provide continued mentoring through the senior ranks to help this Associate achieve equity partner. There will be opportunities for this Associate to develop and maintain key client relationships and the IP Leadership will work with this Associate to develop his/her own business. The IP group is considered one of the crown jewels of the firm and is a major engine of the firm in terms of revenue production. The firm prides itself on their entrepreneurial spirit, quality of life work environment, and prominent levels of Associate satisfaction.
This position will not be on a lockstep salary system, but instead salary will be determined by strong academics and skillset. The IP group has an immense work load, which will continue in the years ahead, allowing this Associate to advance their skillset at a rapid pace. The qualified Associate will hold either a Ph.D., M.S., or B.S. in biotech (biology, molecular biology, immunology, chemistry, or related life science experience is preferred). This Junior Associate should have 2 to 3 years of Big Law/ Prestigious Boutique experience in a Life Science Litigation role. A prior prosecution background with FTO experience is helpful but not required.
