Our Legal Recruiters/Agents negotiate relentlessly on behalf of the Patent Agent Candidates they represent. Nothing in terms of negotiating on behalf of the Patent Agent Candidate is off the table.
This prestigious global AM firm is experiencing unprecedented growth in their IP Practice Group, resulting from new business coming into the group. The firm is attracting some of the nation’s elite Partners as the firm overall has been growing at a rate of 45% over the past two years. This has resulted in the firm winning multiple awards, which includes IP Practice Group of the Year by a leading publication. As a result of the growth that is occurring, the IP leadership has added Patent Agents/Technical Advisors to the existing team, nearly doubling the size of the group’s Agent/Advisor’s team over the past few years. Currently the IP leadership is seeking a Patent Agent that will support key Partners within the group’s Technology and Emerging Companies Practice Group. The group practices in the upper echelon of the marketplace earning one the national highest billable rates. It handles cutting edge complex prosecution matters, representing the nation’s most prestigious companies, in addition to start-up and emerging technology companies. This Patent Agent will have extensive interaction with major clients. This Agent will also be participating in new business development including client pitches involving complex technically challenging cases.
The qualified Patent Agent will have 2 to 4 years’ experience working in a similar role in a Big Law environment. Industry experience is a strong plus. The qualified Patent Agent should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. They should also hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Computer Engineering. An advanced degree is a strong plus.
The firm will pay above market compensation. (Our Agent has placed Patent Agents and Advisors at the firm with base salaries exceeding 190K walking in, and bonuses paid out exceeding 50K). The leadership is not capping the salary in this role and the position will not be on lockstep. The bonus will be paid out on the Associate Cravath Scale.
The leadership support and will pay for law school. The leadership will also consider Patent Agents in the mist of law school. The leadership will award class year credit for attending law school and they will also sponsor this Patent Agent being placed on a partnership track upon graduating from law school. The leadership will also support a Patent Agent who prefers to remain a Patent Agent. The firm also has an excellent quality of life. The firm will pay relocation. This Patent Agent can be based out of Seattle, WA. The firm will pay for relocation.
