Prestigious AM Firm Expanding IP, Partnership and Group Opportunities
Our Network Recruiter is working closely with a prestigious rapidly growing AM law firm’s leadership team to expand their IP footprint. The leadership is looking to add a Partner to their Tech Patent Prosecution & Counseling team in San Francisco. They will also consider a Partner for their NYC, DC, and Chicago offices. The leadership is looking at the Junior non-equity ranks with a clear path to Equity Partner and at the Sr. Partner (equity) level who can take on a leadership role.
The firm has been recognized by prestigious publications, winning Law Firm of the Year and Best IP Practice Group. The firm has grown their IP practice by merging in IP boutiques and small groups, as well as adding individual Partners to their practice.
The firm has attracted Groups and Partners because it has increased profits over the past 5 years, including 2020. The firm has not only increased firm profits, but the profit margin increases have been substantial, providing them necessary capital to add excellent talent to their team. The IP group has a successful full-service IP practice where each of the areas such as IP litigation, IP transactional, and IP Prosecution are all experiencing high growth and are in a position to expand their practice area.
The firm currently has a team of highly qualified Associates, Agents, and Advisors on their bench. The IP practice group has virtually zero turnover with a high level of satisfaction in all non-Partner ranks. The firm is also very supportive to their Partners in terms of providing them with an extremely competitive budget for new business development and are very supportive when Partners require to add strength by increasing their overall headcount.
The leadership is prepared to offer an above market compensation package for the qualified Partner. Ideally, they are looking for a Partner that is servicing the IP tech prosecution arena. The IP leadership could be open to Partners servicing other segments of IP. The Partner should also have excellent academics, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. The Partner must be able to demonstrate that they have been able to develop their own client following. The firm will pay for relocation to their San Francisco office or any other of their offices
