This has elevated the firm’s IP practice into the top echelon of the IP marketplace. The IP leadership is continuing the expansion of the group and the Life Science Chair is spearheading a national search for a Patent Agent who will report directly to the Life Science leadership Partners.

This Agent will report directly to the Life Science Chair who is spearheading the search. The firm has one of the nation’s most prestigious Life Science practice groups. They demand the highest billing rates because of the complexity of the matters that they handle. The group attracts Fortune Pharma and Biotech companies, as well as start-up companies that are backed by prestigious investors. This Agent will be working on complex patent issues related to prosecution, client counseling, and IP transactional matters. The position will also involve extensive client interaction in regard to client counseling and patent portfolio development. 

The qualified Patent Agent should hold a PhD in Biological Science or related discipline. The qualified Agent must have excellent academics, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. The Life Science Chair is based out of Los Angeles, but the leadership is considering allowing this person to work remotely.  The firm will also pay relocation expenses to Los Angeles.

The firm’s IP group compensation plan ranks at the top of the AM. Base salaries are at the highest compensation level in the country. The firm has one of the best work-life balances among all of the AM and one of the lowest billing hour requirements.
