This prestigious international AM firm’s IP practice group has won “Intellectual Property Firm of the Year” two years in a row. The leadership has been expanding the firm’s IP practice over the last decade with the highest growth area being IP litigation. 

The firm’s IP litigation group has rapidly developed a reputation for handling high-stakes litigation across multiple sectors including semiconductors, high tech, telecom, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology. The investments made into the group’s IP litigation practice have resulted in an influx of work coming into the group.  

The leadership is now in need of an Associate (3 to 6 years of Big law experience) to join the group’s National IP Trial Litigation Team. The IP leadership would like this Associate to have partnership aspirations and have a strong desire to become a “Trial Attorney”. The group tends to promote their Associates up through the ranks and because of this, the group has an excellent mentoring program for litigation Associates aspiring to become a Trial Attorney and a Partner in “Big Law”. 

The leadership requires the qualified person to possess a technical background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Physics. This Associate must have prior Big Law patent litigation experience and IPR experience a plus. This Associate will be participating in complex cutting edge patent cases that are trial bound. The Associate will not be held back in terms of advancing their skill set. They will be able to take additional responsibilities as soon as they have demonstrated that they can handle them. The qualified Associate should have excellent academics, along with excellent written and verbal communications skills.

The firm pays among the highest compensation in the country and leads the nation in the highest bonuses paid to Associates. Since this is a sponsored Partner-tracked role, the leadership is prepared and has the approval to go off lock step and exceed the new Cravath scale for both bonus and base salary. The leadership would like this person to be based out of the firm’s NYC or Silicon Valley office, but since this is a national role and depending on the person's experience and credentials, they will entertain telecommute Associates. The firm will pay for all relocation expenses if needed.
